APPLICATION FOR 2010 SPRING OPEN SHOW

PROSPECTUS

Entrants: Any area artist 18 yrs or older

Entry Fee: $15.00 for members in good standing and $20.00 for non-members to enter up to three (3) pieces of original fine art in the following categories.  Entry fee is non-refundable. WC ARTS takes a 20% commission on all sales.

2. Acrylic

3. Watercolor 

4. Pastel

5. Photography

6. Sculpture

7. Mixed Media

 Categories with less than 5 entries may be combined with another category for judging purposes if feasible. If not, the category will not be judged.

 ENTRY PROCEDURE: Any artwork not meeting the following guidelines will be deemed ineligible and not accepted for participation.

 Art work must have been created within the past three years and not previously exhibited in a WC ARTS Spring Open Show.

 All work must be clean, safe and ready for display. It must be completely dry, professionally presented and structurally stable. Due to the hanging system we use, artwork must be wired with screw eyes a quarter the way down from the top of the frame for hanging. Sculptors must supply their own pedestals. Hanging works must not weigh more than 7 lbs. Size not to exceed 36” X 36”. 

 All works entered will be displayed, providing they meet these criteria and the subject matter is appropriate for the setting. No nudes are allowed.   All works must remain on display for the duration of the show. Work can not be removed from the show prior to the end of the show.

 All artwork entered must be properly labeled with the attached labels. The labels should be attached securely to the back of the piece in the lower left-hand corner. Please print legibly! .

 AWARDS: Ribbons for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and honorable mention will be given in all judged categories. A cash prize will go to the Best of Show.

 MAIL entry form and check to WC ARTS, PO Box 420, Washington, NJ 07882. Entry forms must be received by April 8. Late entries will not be accepted.  Reception & award ceremony: Sunday, April 18, 2-4pm

 LIABILITY: The artist warrants that any work submitted by the artist shall be the original work of the artist which shall not infringe or otherwise violate the rights of any third party. The artist agrees not to hold the Township of Oxford or WC ARTS liable for any theft, loss, destruction or damage to the artwork submitted by the artist. All possible care will be taken to safeguard the artwork.
